" Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts."
Winston Churchill
Our ALS students were finally rewarded for their hard work, perseverance, and courage with their graduation ceremony to mark their achievements. We are very proud of all that they have faced and overcome in pursuit of their dreams.

Our thanks and appreciation to our staff who have walked the arduous path alongside them and with dedication and tenacity helped them to move into high school!
Missions Service
One of our Transition Care youth who stayed at House of Joshua for 4 1/2 years has now joined Youth With a Mission as a trainee on their Discipleship Training School program here in Mindanao. We are excited to see him stepping into a new life stage and look forward to tracking with him in his missions adventures.

Making Memories
In celebration of the annual Cagayan de Oro festival, our HOJ kids and staff enjoyed a visit to the fairground. It was a first time experience for everyone to ride on a roller coaster or bumper cars and experience the sights and sounds of carnival time.
Sports & Trashy Fashion
Our HOJ kids have been busy with various school activities.
Two of our high school students have been selected as 'Varsity Basketball Players' with the exciting opportunity to play against other junior high schools in the area.
Our students have also participated in various events and competitions which have been well supported by our HOJ family, including the Mindanao Milo Mini Olympics and a recycling fashion show with unique costumes as part of Science Month. One of our girls won the First Runner-up award with the 'Trashy Fashion Show'!

There are plenty of barriers that blockade our progress with these kids. We are learning that our response to the roadblocks is what defines both our character and our heart.
By choosing to focus on the victories and even the tiniest steps, our eyes are redirected from the challenges and disappointments. Instead, the problems become opportunities and markers to remind us how far we have come.....this is how we can reframe the story!
Thank you for marking each step with us!!
