Happy Holidays

Lifenet Family Day
We believe it is important to encourage a sense of belonging in the holiday season especially for those who have had little experience of stability and security. Lifenet Family Day is, therefore, one of the main events on our calendar of activities. We invite relatives and siblings of our House of Joshua residential children to visit and join us for the day together with the Growing Hope families from our community outreach ministry.

Although a lot of people are gathered together in one place, we try to ensure that everyone feels involved and can enjoy precious moments with laughter and fun. Our ultimate goal is to raise the JOY level'!!

Amazing Race
This year's Amazing Race theme opened with 9 color teams competing to locate hidden clues scattered around the garden play area at House of Joshua, complete country themed challenges and score points for prizes at each station. The teams raced to beat the clock as well as each other for the highest scores on the giant yellow scoreboard.

Team Bethlehem's Musical Medley
Children from the recorder and guitar groups joined forces to form 'Team Bethlehem' for a live performance of festive music to help get everyone into the holiday mood with jolly singalongs and sweet renditions of Christmas classics.

Costume Competition
Costume designers were challenged to create original designs using recycled or reusable materials as we increase our ongoing efforts to encourage our children and families to consider their impact on the environment. Although the green friendly Christmas theme tested the creativity this year, the judges were impressed with the inspiration behind the innovative outfits.

Lifenet's Got Talent Show
Our Christmas day of fun would not be complete without the Lifenet Talent showcase with lively song and dance performances, significantly lifting the laughter level with joyful choreography and originality.

Our afternoon of fun rounded off with a shared dinner and prizegiving celebration with gifts for all the children who attended.

We are grateful for our tireless staff and volunteers who gave up their time and effort to help make the day a memorable success. We would also like to once again acknowledge and thank our ministry sponsors who with their unyielding support also helped us to make this year's Amazing Race event truly amazing.  (For more photographs see our Facebook page)
